Carrying on from Part One
As the nights were drawing in and it would be getting dark during the wedding breakfast we made our way over the road to the beach to take some portraits soon after the ceremony.
Actually, most of Carly and Nick’s friends came along for the ride too. Thanks to several members of the wedding party who helped carry bridal shoes and bouquets with such finesse.
After the meal we headed out onto Cafe Shore’s terrace to play around with a bit of light-scribing while the venue was set up for the evening. We soon found out it’s a lot easier to draw shapes than right backwards words (especially after the wedding breakfast and champagne toasts). I’m still have trouble deciphering a lot of the messages, but the thought was there!

Posted with thanks and congratulations to Carly and Nick x
Rebecca and Mike’s big day was our first Military wedding. Their ceremony took place at St Swithun’s in Bournemouth followed by a reception at the Sandbanks Hotel in Poole.
Lots of their family and friends gathered for, what ended up to be, one of the last summery-ish days we had this year. We were very lucky as the Sandbanks Hotel has its own steps down to Shore Road beach so we were able to play with some portraits on the sand.
Rebecca and Mike had already proved they could work it in from of the camera during their wedding prep a couple of weeks before. We also had lots more fun taking some shots with the big group of bridesmaids.
One bonus of a military wedding: The groom is very happy to bring his own knife to cut the cake!

Continuing on from Part One of Laura and Sean’s Wedding.
We’d never worked at Ocean Bay Restaurant in Swanage before - what a gem it is for a wedding reception! It’s bright, it’s big, it’s pretty and it’s slap bang on the beach, with a sheltered porch, an amazing view and a sassy tropical island-style beach umbrella to boot.
After being dropped off by the Wedding Party Bus everyone spent some time soaking up the sun, having some drinks and collecting shells.
The restaurant let the lovely sunshine flood in throughout the day as guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast (kitted up with British seaside-themed table decorations and a Sandcastle cake!).
As well as brilliant speeches from Sean and his best man Laura also took some time to say a few words.
After the wedding breakfast we went for a little stroll along the beach for some photos, hunting down the most characterful beach huts along the way before it was time to party.
Laura and Sean’s friends played the tunes which meant there were no duff songs, just full-on party tunes. The dancefloor was energetic with handstands aplenty…
Thank you for letting us be a part of your day, Laura and Sean! x
