What better way to warm up for wedding season, which starts for us next week, then to … err …run round after an energetic puppy in a muddy field?!
Bruno the dog belongs to 2009 Big Bouquet Bride and Groom Lisa and Mark, whose wedding we shot at Compton Acres in Poole last Spring.Since they tied the knot we were delighted to discover, via good old Twitter, that they’d expanded their family with this bouncing barker. I jumped at the chance to get some photos of him whilst he still had his puppy energy and quite happily slid around in a muddy Upton Country Park this morning to capture him running riot with all his toys.
I’m more likely to be pointing my camera towards a bouquet than a bone and won’t hide the fact I’ve never really dabbled in pet photography before other than obsessively taking snaps of my own cat and hamsters. Bruno is a lot faster than these. With his early morning energy levels at 100 per cent he certainly kept me on my toes (especially as I’m getting over foot surgery at the moment and aren’t the quickest of movers).
It was lots of fun.

Bruno is normally such a fluffy, soft dog. However, Upton Country Park is like a mud pit. We take this opportunity to apologise to Lisa and Mark for the inevitable post-shoot doggy bath.

I love these two. So cute. Check out his big front footsies.

Butter wouldn’t melt.

A little bit tired now…

It was lovely to enjoy the fun with Bruno and thanks to Lisa and Mark for being such great doggie handlers (and to Ian for cleaning my trainers).
