The Wedding of Natalie and Justin at Langtry Manor and Lodge, Bournemouth

You can be sure of two things if you’re getting wed at Langtry Manor; you will be looked after so well by their excellent team and there are lots of lovely nooks and crannies and interesting decor to make the most of.

I made my way over to Langtry early in the morning to start snapping Natalie’s bridal preps in the spacious and homely Jersey Lily Room. When I arrived Natalie was just starting on the make-up, joined by her sister who was to take the role of one of the bridemaids.

Natalie’s mum joined us later on in the morning to help with the final preps and take control of the dress lacing.

The room overlooked the garden where Ian snapped up the Groom party when they arrived at the hotel. We were all hoping for an outdoor ceremony in front of Langtry’s gazebo but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t playing fair with us that morning.

With the ‘thumbs up’ for the ceremony to start Natalie got her shoes on and made her way downstairs.

After some family shots outside it was soon time for the wedding breakfast.

The infamous Langtry Manor sparkly swan meringues.

There was a break between the speeches and the evening reception where we had time to take Natalie and Justin down to the beach for some couple shots. I don’t think we’ve ever seen the tide out so far on Bournemouth Beach - it was truly bizarre, but it meant we had a lot more space to play around in.

The spot proved a hit during Natalie and Justin’s pre-wed shoot so we went back.

By the time we got back for the evening the guests had moved over the road to continue the party at Langtry Lodge. After making the most of the rest of the daylight in the rear garden it was time for the First Dance.

With congratulations and thanks to Natalie and Justin x

Wedding Preview: Rachel and David

After a church ceremony at St Peter’s in Poole yesterday, we had fun spending the day with Rachel and David at the beautiful Christchurch Harbour Hotel. With views of Mudeford bay and the sun out for the duration the guests had it made as they sipped Kir Royales on the terrace.

We spent a little time making the most of the hotel’s exceptional location for a little couple shoot. Last time, during our wedding prep, Rachel and I were a bit too chicken to jump onto the jetty as the tide was in and it looked too wobbly. However, with the tide out and the platform on solid ground (well, mud) we were a bit braver this time. It was really nice to be able to take some seaside shots and not bring back shoe-fulls of sand.

The Wedding of Clare and Andy at Key West, Bournemouth Pier - Part Two

Following Part One of Clare and Andy’s seaside wedding we continue the party at Key West Restaurant and Bar at the end of Bournemouth Pier. So, after the wedding party were treated to the wonderful sight of a surprise aeroplane fly-by it was time for the wedding breakfast inside the domed restaurant. Here, Clare and Andy had kitted out the tables with lots of little beachy trinkets and had suitable table names. The speeches took place before the meal so all the speakers could enjoy their food without any nerves.

Once everyone started tucking into their food Ian and I had our own little break with some Harry Ramsden chips and sat snapping up some scene setters. We normally only have a soggy chicken wrap so this was the best photo break ever!

After the meal we had a bit of time to enjoy the sun down and take some photos with Clare and Andy around the pier.

Clare and Andy wanted to brace the carousel in their full wedding attire. It was a funny few minutes. I don’t think any of us remembered how quickly these things spin around. We caught the attention of a fair few passing hen dos and police constables :)

Then the sun really plummeted down and it was soon night-time, so we made our way back to continue the evening party.

Clare and Andy had a proper full-blown dance routine prepared for their first dance to The Tempations “My Girl”. I hope someone has filmed it! It was AMAZING.

The band were outstanding and got everyone up and dancing straight away. The dancefloor was packed! It was the perfect end to a super fun day.

With congratulations to Clare and Andy x

Yesterday we shot the wedding of Natalie and Justin at Langtry Manor. In between the meal and the evening do we had some time to get away for a while and take some shots in the warm sunset on Bournemouth beach. Justin presented Natalie with some wedding flip-flops along the way to make the shoot a little easier - it was just one of many thoughtful moments from the day.
