Engagement Shoot: Lisa & Ian at Hengistbury Head

This weekend we hooked up with Lisa and Ian whose wedding we’re shooting later on in the year. Lisa and Ian wanted to get used to being in front of the camera before their big day and so opted for an extended Engagement shoot. So we spent a good few hours around Hengistbury Head near Mudeford making use of the lovely beach huts and catching up with a coffee. They needn’t have worried - they were absolute pros and I think we all had a jolly good time.
The weather was bizarre - it changed all the time. Literally one minute we had brilliant blue skies and then next we were plagued by stormy rain clouds, but as these are going to be made into a guestbook for the wedding that gave us lots of variety so we weren’t complaining.

Album Preview: Laura and James

This morning we took delivery of Laura and James’ Coffee Table Book, whose wedding we shot on Valentine’s Day this year at Langtry Manor in Bournemouth. You can see our full blog post of their wedding here.
As the wedding had lots of traditional red and pink Valentine’s colours we decided to keep Laura and James’ book very classic, choosing to use a simple black and white cover which really lets the vibrant red of Laura’s bouquet punch out.

Shameless plug

When Ian isn’t papping weddings with me, he makes pretty websites. When he’s not doing that he’s a mean cook and when he’s not doing that, he’s not bad at DJing. He’s a bit of a night owl you see, and I’m not. So whilst by 10.30pm on the average night I can barely keep my eyes open, he’s wide awake and out on the tiles donning his headphones to get lost in music.
Along with his good friend, Lee [below, pictured left] they make up the DJ Duo Geek Chic Soundsystem.
On Thursday 1 April they’re going to be entertaining the crowds at Fabric Nightclub, London (Room One). Ahead of their performance they needed to hand over some promo shots to the club so we quickly whisked a few up whilst the weather was still good near our home at Boscombe Pier. They wanted something that was like a Pet Shop Boys promo… but with beards.
How handy it is to have a wife with a camera.
